The Jim Fisch Collection

Top Shelf Music has been honored with the task of disposing of the collection of approximately 160 instruments amassed by Jim Fisch. Jim was a close personal friend, author of "Epiphone, The House of Stathopoulo" and designer for Eastman Guitars, and an avid collector of interesting and unusual archtop guitars and related items. The collection was made available for viewing by the public in mid December 2006, and already many items have been sold. Unique design with cylinder arched spruce top, mahogany sides, and cylindar arched mahogany back. Natural finish. Sounds like a cross between a good archtop and a good flat top. No cracks and little wear. Replacement tuning gears. V.G.+. H/C.

   Eastman Instruments 






All of the listed Easman guitars are new and unplayed. Some are prototypes and pre production instruments. Eastman guitars are hand made in China. All of the guitars are made of solid tone woods, with no plywood used anywhere. All of the archtop guitars and mandolins are hand carved, and all of the maple used is highly figured. Eastman instruments are exceptional values.
