C2008100002  Fender           Stratocaster           1966                 $14,500
Candy Apple Red!  It's not often that we get a 60's custom color Strat.,
especially one that we can sell at a reasonable price. This one has it's issues,
but they are rather minor and, orther than the finish wear, they all pretty much
correctable. First off, this guitar sounds a plays great. It even sound good
acousticlly, where you can hear how lively it is. Now for the issues: non
original 70's Fender cast tremolo block and plate with non original bent metal
saddles, repro tuners, non original 3 way switch, replacement nut. Some of
cloth wires have been replaced, and the pickup leads have been extended.
Pickups have not been rewound, and all have matching gray bottons with
May 1966 dates. Neck has a May, 1966 date as well. It has 5 springs, and the
spring cover is missing. Finish shows arm wear and some chips through the
several layers of Fender's attempts at a Candy Apple finish. Overall V.G.
Ratty but functional mid 60s Mustang case.
